Female infertility can be treated with infertility drugs, invasive procedures, artificial insemination, and assisted reproductive technology (ART). Unfortunately not only are these methods expensive, they also carry negative side-effects like nausea, headaches, and possible weight gain.
These infertility treatments are also known for working too well. What I mean by that is producing twins, triplets, or more! A common drug prescribed is called Clomid which sends a signal to your ovaries to release eggs.
Doctors often suggest surgery if your fallopian tubes have been compromised or obstructed. Surgery is however helpful in the removal of ovarian cysts and or fibroids.
There are two main forms of artificial insemination, in wish the male’s sperm is injected into a female’s reproductive system.
1. Intra-cervical Insemination, is when the sperm in placed in the neck of the cervix.
2. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), is when the sperm in placed in the uterus.
